All active or inactive licensed real estate Sales-associates (salespersons) and Brokers are required to complete 14 hours of continuing education which includes a final exam every two years. Licensee's must renew prior to their license expiration date. (**see NOTE below if this is your FIRST renewal of your Florida Sales-associate or Brokers license)
Every licensee must pass the final exam to successfully complete their CE requirements.
Your renewal date is determined by the date of licensure. Check for your renewal notice or current license to verify the license expiration date.
Course completion process
We are automatically notified of your course completion when you successfully pass the final exam for your course. The Thursday following your completion (or sooner in March and September) we will email your official course completion slip to you. The same day we email your course completion slip we notify the Bureau of Education and Training electronically of your completion. The Bureau of Education and Training keeps track of the post-license and continuing education credits for the DBPR. If you need to contact the Bureau, their number is 850-921-8582. All you need to do is fill out your renewal form and mail it in with your renewal fee (currently $5).
